Dear Lion Families,

Welcome to the 2025-26 school year! At TJHS, we believe that there is nothing more important than giving your child the best education possible. School is a place for growing and learning, and our staff works hard to provide a meaningful learning environment for all students. We also believe in balance; school should be an enjoyable place for our staff and students. We recognize achievements, value kind-spirited humor and competition, focus on effort, and express gratitude for one another’s positive contributions to our school community.

We are aiming high this year! With your support, we can get there!

• Goal 1:  Meet or exceed state averages in all OSAS tested areas.
• Goal 2:  Achieve 92% attendance rates for all students.
• Goal 3:  Reduce bullying/harassment referrals to create a safe learning space for all. 

To support these goals, we are rolling out a few key strategies:

• Friday early releases to give our educators time for intentional work on Unit Plans, identifying what it means to be proficient at TJHS, and creating appropriate assessments to gauge proficiency. 
• Collaborating with families, partner agencies, and campus connections staff to re-engage reluctant attenders.
• Providing building-wide SEL (social emotional learning) lessons through Wayfinder to grow the life skill of appropriate communication.
